Greens MP Hints at Possiblity of Woolworths pulling out of Mullumbimby

The Woolworths development in Mullumbimby is not 100% guaranteed. With the sewerage disposal problems and now the severe economic downturn, the building of the Big box supermarket in Mullumbimby may not be an attractive proposition for investors, or even Woolworths, who are believed to have paid around $3Million for the Station Street site .

In an interview with Sylvia Hale, NSW Greens Upper House MP,  Sylvia hinted at possible problems with it going ahead. In her words, " We see with these large developers, they will go in,  and attempt to make money,  but if they fail, they may pack up and go."

Sylvia also  pointed out the bad process by which the Woolworths development was approved and noted the community opposition, and the impact on the local community.
