Woolworths has recalled some of its home-brand milk amid fears it may
contain small amounts of cleaning solution.
The recall is in connection with dairy company Parmalat's recall of two of its milk products in NSW and the ACT on Friday, Woolies said.The milk may have a yellowish colouring, and/or a metallic or chemical taste, the supermarket said. "Food products containing cleaning solution may cause illness to some if consumed," it said. Pura two-litre full-cream milk and Daisy Fresh three-litre full-cream milk, both in plastic bottles with a use-by date of October 12, were recalled. Customers seeking more information can call the toll-free customer service number on 1800 103 515. Woolworths said the following NSW stores did not have the affected product for sale: Queanbeyan, Cooma, Jerrabomberra, Young, Cootamundra, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Wagga Wagga North, Griffith, Griffith North, Temora, Kooringal, Leeton, Yass, Tumut, Jindabyne, Albury, Lavington, Thurgoona, Corowa and Moama.
