MCAN sending Representatives to attend Woolworths vs Byron Shire Council Court Case

Four representatives of The Mullumbimby Community Action Network, ( Luis Cristia, Duncan Dey, Garry Scott and Robert Hart) will be attending The Land and Environment Court in Sydney next week, when Woolworths challenge to Byron shire Council's refusal of their on site sewerage system will be resumed on the 18th of November. The hearing is set down for three days.

The 'fab' four will be travelling to Sydney on Tuesday. The purpose of the trip is to attend the court hearing and report back on the proceedings. The case was originally heard at Mullumbimby and Ballina last month, but was adjourned at the request of Woolworths counsel.

Woolworths need their on-site sewerage system approved before they can build their 'big box' supermarket in Station street.
