Wrought Artworks - Blacksmiths of Eveleigh

Wrought Artworks are the self-funding operators of the historic blacksmithing bays at The Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops- Redfern. The largest intact steampowered blacksmithing workshop remaining in the world.

The past 17 years have been spent bringing the workshop and it's 1880s
equipment up to a safe, useful operating level. Utilizing the machinery for
cast and forged iron heritage restoration projects around Sydney. This was
part of the DA consent conditions for the redevelopment of the site.
Committed to training young people in traditional trade skills, the
Government recently thanked the organization by evicting them with no
reason. The resulting media campaign forced the Government into offering
