Ballina Environment Society

The Ballina a Environment Society is a Shire wide incorporated lobby group for environmental
issues. we have five issues presented in the RAID dossier:

Ballina Gateway Development which breaks State and local government
planning laws
North Angel's Beach development which has been issued with permission to
destroy valued Aboriginal sites.
Survey St, Lennox Head which has drainage and threatened species issues.
Petrac at Pacific Pines in Lennox Head which has height, threatened
species and road network problems.
Far North coast Regional Strategy which sets population targets such as
50
increase for the Shire over a short time without environmentally
constrained land identified.
